Why OBAMA will win: Dear President Bush

I call you that out of respect for the office, but the truth is, I’m not certain you were ever elected to that office. Since you claim a Texas heritage and so do I, let’s talk some straight talk, you and me.

Where I was raised we were inculcated with the idea that your word is the only thing you ever really own in your life. It’s what people judge you by and remember you for. But you have been a damn liar all your life. That’s why the Republicans are going to lose the Presidency….for the same reason the Democrats did before them. Because Americans hate damn liars. The Democrats didn’t get tossed out of office because Willy Clinton got a hummer. They got booted because he lied about it under oath and was disbarred as a lawyer while he was President. And because a win for Hillary would put him right back inside the halls of power, just like you following your dad, she won’t win. That and her latest dumb speech when she says it’s time someone stood up for the American middle class. She has never met anyone in the ‘middle class’. Neither have you. You are both silver spoon babies and spoiled brats.

We have had enough of father-son, husband-wife tag-teams. Obama will win simply because he hasn’t been a politician long enough to become corrupted. He’ll win and kick-start honesty in politics again.

I can go on and on, but I won’t. You have been acting like a dictator since you lied during your oath of office when you swore to to protect and defend the Constitution….something you later called “Just a piece of paper”. We are tired of it. You aren’t there to take the American people out of the loop or run rampant over the wishes of Congress. You don’t have permission to use the United States Military as your personal G.I. Action Figures that you can run from the Playstation on your desk and send around the world to stomp on everyone you decide you don’t like and you can’t spy on Americans. If the country is full of potential terrorists, who let them in? Whoever it was, it happened on your watch with you in control of the Congress. Stand up like a man and take the blame. Your power grab has been a huge lesson to everyone and it will be a long time before we let someone else try it.

The Bush Presidency has made America the most hated and ridiculed country in the world and Americans aren’t safe traveling anywhere anymore.  I want the high moral ground back.  In my America we don’t torture prisoners or ‘disappear’ people.  I seriously believe that you are the first President who doesn’t dare show his face in public unless everyone within a mile has been searched.  If President Eisenhower walked down the street he got a standing ovation. You rate just below Benedict Arnold, who at least served in the military.

The bottom line is simply this:  Everyone in the world needs to trust and believe in the good judgment of the President of The United States of America.  He doesn’t have to have any experience or extensive knowledge of politics.  He just has to be worthy of our trust that he is doing the best job he can for America, not for his legacy or the Saudis or anyone else.  An  American who will take care of America first. Mr. Obama will.  It’s time for a change.
